About Pixtide

Most of us have thousands of photos we will never look at again. Screenshots of addresses we already visited. Blurry duplicates. Memes from 2019. They pile up quietly until the phone says storage is full.

The existing tools are either too fiddly (selecting tiny thumbnails one by one) or too aggressive (an algorithm deciding what you should keep, often behind a weekly subscription). We wanted something in between: one photo at a time, your decision, at your own pace.

We made a few promises early on: no ads, no subscriptions, no accounts, no personal data and no uploads. We will never charge you for cleaning up your own photos. If you are weighing the options, here is how Pixtide compares to other photo cleaner apps.

Pick a month, a year, a category (screenshots, videos, selfies, Live Photos, panoramas, favourites, bursts) or your recent shots, and Pixtide shows one photo at a time. Swipe right to keep, left to delete, down to send it to a Decide Later queue. Videos play inline, with sound if you want it. An Undo button steps back through the whole session.

Swiping only marks a photo. When you finish, a review screen shows everything marked for deletion so you can rescue anything before you confirm. Confirmed deletes go to the iPhone's Recently Deleted album, where Apple keeps them for 30 days (Apple Support). Stats, streaks and milestones track what you have cleared.
