Apple's Photos app deletes photos for free with no cap, and for clutter you can already name it beats every app below. In iOS 18:

A photo deleting app earns its place when every photo needs a decision. Drag-select clears a month of screenshots in seconds, but it cannot choose between four near-identical beach photos in a 10,000-photo library. Apps add a one-at-a-time swipe view, similar-shot detection beyond Apple's copies, and large-video tools.

Before installing, check four things on the App Store page: the In-App Purchases list (a weekly plan is the priciest way to pay), the free-tier limit (reviews reveal it first), the "Contains Advertising" line, and the privacy label: four of the seven apps below list data used to track you. It sorts month by month, with On This Day, a Decide Later bookmark and a final review. Reviewers love the speed: "15 GB free in less than 1 and a half hours" (5 stars, 2026-09-15). Photo Cleaner ® by Lumi Software offers unlimited free swiping with a month and year overview and a final confirmation, and had 4,990 US ratings on 2026-09-29. A reviewer: "It doublechecks before you delete!" (4 stars, 2026-01-17). The free version shows ads; duplicates, screenshots cleanup and ad-free use need Premium at $3.99 a week, $7.99 a month or $29.99 a year, checked on the App Store on 2026-09-25. Four avoidable mistakes cause most regret.
